In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov shares with you one of the most fascinating chess games of the legendary Mikhail Tal, the Magician from Riga. This game is a great example of crushing attack making use of tactical opportunities.

What’s amazing about this game is that Tal sacrificed 4 major pieces to keep his attack going – he first sacrificed his knight to open up the position, then his rook, his bishop, and finally he sacrificed his other rook to deliver a beautiful checkmate!
