This weekβs endgame video is on a fairly simple theoretical endgame with bishops of the same color.
They are simple because they can be divided into three possible positions based on the positioning of the defending king:
1. The defending king can blockade on a square opposite
to the colour of the bishops – easy draw
2. The defending king is far away and the attacker can force
a bishop trade – easy win
3. The defending king prevents the trade because it can
control key squares – draw
