Black played actively in the center and gained a solid clamp on white’s position. White’s knights became redundantly played on d2 and b3, unable to maneuver to the ideal square on d5. White went on to blunder by misplacing his queen with 15. Qh3?? and then allowing the queen to be trapped after 17. Bf6.
