The Pirc defense is a risky opening unless you play very precisely. This game is a great example of just how hard the Pirc structure can be for black to play if they don’t get in the typical pawn breaks on time.

This setup with f3 and g4 and quick queenside castles is very dangerous. It can be used against some Siclians, but against the Pirc and Modern it’s especially useful.
