Mikhail Tal was nicknamed “The Magician from Riga” because of his brilliant, tactical, attacking play. He wasn’t well known for his endgames, even though he was a magician when it comes to the last stage of the game too!

Mikhail Tal wasn’t well known for his endgame play even though he was a briliant technician and calculator, two traits extremely important for good endgame play. I have chosen three of my favorite Tal endgames. One of them is very well known, two of them are not, but are still extremely instructive and fun!
