Wesley So has had four difficult days at the start of the tournament. He lost in rounds 1 and 2, and drew yesterday. He must have been wrecked before this game. Him and Mamedyarov entered a well known Nimzo-Indian line in which they both initiated trades and went on to draw in 90 minutes.
This result is very unfortunate for Wesley So’s fans, as he now faces a long road to catching up with the leaders. I hope he can finally get a win tomorrow!
