This is a very strategic chess game between Obsidian (3645) and Integral (3576) from the Premier Division of the Top Chess Engine Championship Season 28, round 39. The opening is a French Defense, Tarrasch, with play beginning from the position after 7…c4. With the structure defined early, each side generally presses where they have space. Once opposite-side castling appears, however, both sides play on both wings. Obsidian is a chess engine written in C++, first developed in April 2023. It evaluates positions with a neural network trained on Lc0 data.
