This is sharp chess game between KomodoDragon (3620) and Ethereal (3618) from the Premier Division of the Top Chess Engine Championship Season 28. The opening is a King’s Indian Defense Mar del Plata, with play beginning from the position after 12…f4. In this variation of the King’s Indian Defense Mar del Plata, black’s c-pawn sits on c5 to restrict white’s typical queenside play. KomodoDragon demonstrates a way to punish this approach.

I’m a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly.
