Featured is an instructive chess game between Baadur Jobava and Vasyl Ivanchuk from the 2005 Capablanca Memorial. In response to Ivanchuk’s Queen’s Indian Defense, Jobava deploys his dark-squared bishop to g5 pinning Ivanchuk’s knight. Shortly thereafter Jobava targets d6 looking to exploit the overloaded state of Ivanchuk’s dark-squared bishop. Ivanchuk’s response is to give up a pawn, go uncastled, and turn his unopposed dark-squared bishop into a monster!
