This is the round 1 game between Peter Svidler of Russia, and Bilal Samhouri of Jordan from the 41st Chess Olympiad Open 2014 which is held in Tromsø, Norway. An open Sicilian quickly turns into a isolated queen pawn (d5) structure for black. White applies pressure on this point both directly and indirectly via pinning an f6 knight. Black’s 11th move, h6, is an unsuccessful attempt to resolve the pressure. Can you spot the several moves deep combination that nets white a pawn?
