I am excited about this World Championship match! I really wasn’t invested in other matches in the last 8 years. This time, though, I love both players and I’m rooting for Ding to win. Feels like rooting for Croatia during the world cup:D
After a stunning win in round 1 with black, Ding went for e4 in his first game with the white pieces. It was an Italian and an interesting, imbalanced structure. Ding was the one with a slight advantage, or at least it felt that way.
