The Caro-Kann is my favorite defense against e4, and I keep thinking that I know most of the early traps and blunders white could play. Well, again, I have been proven wrong. My opponent gave up a pawn for no reason very early in the opening and I didn’t think it was a good idea to grab it so I spent almost no time actually calculating the capture. Needless to say it led to a great position for black. What happened next should be forgotten quickly.
