I had no idea what to do against the Black Knights’ Tango · Training Game

I faced the the Black Knights’ Tango or for the first time. This doesn’t happen often, but I was completely out of book on move 3 with white. I have just recently started playing d4 c4 and this is one of those weird sidelines I’d decided to ignore. That will change now.

It’s a very provocative opening, and it lures white into overextending his center, so that’s the only thing I tried to avoid doing. I got a sort of playable position and tried to attack like a maniac, and should’ve been punished.

The Black Knights’ Tango, also known as Mexican Defense, is going to be added to my opening playlist once I’ve learned it.
