The attacking side of the IQP · Training Game

Isolani pawn structures are something every serious chess player has to know how to play from both perspectives. I usually prefer playing against the IQP, rather than attacking using it and having to prove dynamic compensation for my structural weakness.

In this game I was the one with the isolated queen’s pawn, and tried to attack from the start. I didn’t manage it well and ended up changing plans several times, never really getting a palpable advantage. A better player would have punished me.
