Adjusting to changes in the position is hard ยท Road to GM, Game 266

A very complex game in which the position changed drastically several times, and it required a completely new approach. Adjusting to chages in the nature of the position is hard, at least for me, and you sort of have to reset your thinking to keep playing well.

The position went from a kingside attack, to a closed position, to a wide open one, and, finally, to a very tactical endgame in which I was winning. Unfortunately, by that point I was left with a minute or two on the clock. Don’t laugh when you see what happened.
