In New York 1956, 13-year-old Bobby Fischer created a chess masterpiece with the black pieces against Donald Byrne. The brilliant ideas the young super-talent from Brooklyn demonstrated is what ultimately produced what is known today as “The Game of the Century”. This video is without commentary. Instead, the beautiful piece Gymnopédie No. 1 by Erik Satie plays along with Fischer’s masterpiece perfectly. I hope you too can appreciate the beauty of chess and music together.
