Want to annoy London System players? Play this. · Road to GM, Game 256

All London System players hate this variation. If you are looking for a good weapon against the London, learn it.

There is nothing white can do to prevent this solid, boring setup from black without conceding something. At best, it’s equal, if white tries to prevent it, he could end up being worse. It basically leads to a reverse Caro-Kann, a position in which white obviously cannot claim any edge. He has given up the advantage of the white pieces entirely.

But, London players have to live with this variation existing. There is no avoiding it, there is no complicating the position after it occurs. The only thing you can do is try to create small, incremental weaknesses. I did that this game and managed to win.
