I need to grow a pair · Road to GM, Game 169

I faced a very strong opponent in this game. It was a Caro-Kann in which I managed to get a very pleasant position out of the opening, and build up my tiny advantage until I was about to win material. And then my courage sunk.
It’s hard to risk in a game. At least for me. I wish that wasn’t so. I wish I had enough courage to fight and play for a win, playing the best moves without considering the potential loss. I wish I had no regard for my opponent’s rating and whether they were stronger or weaker than I am.
Once I manage to do that I will play better and without fear.
