Here is a brilliant attacking game played by Soviet GM Leonid Shamkovich vs Soviet GM Ratmir Kholmov! In the middle-game, (which arose after Caro-Kann, Karpov variation), White advances his g-pawn and once Black wins it and allows White to open up the g-file White’s attack gets a very scary shape! Relying on Black’s mistakes White sacrifices his rook on g7-square after which White’s attack becomes decisive! The king hunt quickly brings White a victory! In the end of the video as usual you can solve the daily puzzle!
