A debacle in the Robatsch Defense | Training, Game 3

A defeat to remember. I was completely destroyed by my opponent. I misplayed the opening and had no chance from move 10.

We played a three pawn Modern/Robatsch Defense (with c4). An opening I had prepared for a tournament game I was to play last season. It seems I was not prepared. I ignored his e5 break (which should be met with d5, closing down the center and blocking out his bishop), and instead of that I treated the position as if it were a Sicilian.

I developed my bishop to e3 to my opponents advantage. This gave him too much activity and all his pieces became much better than mine. Poor play by me and a lot to learn from and to work on!
