World Champion Magnus Carlsen playing bullet chess | Lichess Titled Arena 5

This is a 2-hour bullet chess tournament, Lichess Titled Arena 5, I provided commentary on while specifically observing World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen compete. The Lichess Titled Arena 5 is held for titled chess players only, namely Grandmasters, International Masters, FIDE Masters, National Masters etc… Magnus Carlsen (DrDrunkenstein) was the top seed entering the tournament. This was the 5th “Titled Arena” held by lichess.org. Could Magnus Carlsen win it for a 5th time in a row? Its $3,600 prize pool goes to the top 5 players, with 1st – $3,000, 2nd – $250, 3rd – $175, 4th – $100, and 5th – $75. This tournament was played on May 4th, 2018.

I’m a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly.
