On April 22nd 2018 a match, scheduled for 14 games, between the Neural Network AI Leela Chess Zero and Chess Grandmaster Andrew Tang was played on lichess.org. The ability to play against self-leaner AI Leela Chess Zero is a new feature of the site. Leela’s growth has skyrocketed in the past couple weeks, with an estimated FIDE rating approaching 2500! For this match against Chess Grandmaster Andrew Tang, Leela Chess Zero was at ID 125, and run on a GTX 1060 6GB, i5-6600K @ 3.50 GHz, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10 Pro. I livestreamed this memorable match at twitch.tv/ChessNetwork. Who’s “Neural Network” would be stronger? 🙂
I’m a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly.
