Magnus Carlsen (DrDrunkenstein) goes 100% berserk in a Bullet Shield Arena

World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen (DrDrunkenstein) latejoined the 4-hour Bullet Shield Arena chess tournament held on lichess.org. When you berserk, your beginning time gets cut in half, and you get an additional tournament point should you win your game. Unlike the Titled Arenas Magnus has competed in in the past, any player could simply join this particular tournament and have a chance to compete against the World Champion, which is really a pretty cool thing. Carlsen competed for nearly the final 90 minutes of the tournament, and I provided commentary on the 50+ games he ended up playing.

I’m a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly.
