Blitz Chess #402: Pirc Defense #2

This is a game from the 2017 Autumn Marathon where I was playing with the white pieces in a Pirc Defense. It’s a game without queens, a “queenless middlegame” as they say. Doubled isolated pawns are usually a liability, but in rare cases may be quite alright, especially if they control key central squares. The time control was 3 minutes with a 2-second increment.

I’m a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly.
