Sicilian Defence, Canal-Sokolsky Attack – Standard chess #11

I played a standard chess game as white with time controls set at 15 minutes with a 2 second increment. The opening played was the Sicilian Defence, Canal-Sokolsky Attack . An imbalance is quickly struck in this one where black obtains the bishop pair and delays kingside development in doing so. One must be delicate with their pawn advances. After just 1 pawn advance, a permanent weakness was created which allowed a plan to come to fruition. After playing, I briefly review the game with the help of a real-time Stockfish analysis.
