LIVE Blitz Chess Commentary #319: Sicilian Defence, Delayed Alapin Variation

This is a blitz chess game I played as white with time control 3|2. The opening was the Sicilian Defence, Delayed Alapin Variation (c3 Sicilian). With a hanging pawn structure, one should seek to blockade before they’re allowed to be set into motion. How exactly to coordinate the white pieces around black’s hanging pawns becomes an important question in this particular game. In a difficult position and especially one where one side has a material deficit, it’s important to not lose sight of one’s positives in the position and remain as resilient for as long as possible.
