Magnus Carlsen vs Radoslaw Wojtaszek – 41st Chess Olympiad 2014 – Round 4

This is the round 4 game between World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen of Norway, and Radoslaw Wojtaszek of Poland from the 41st Chess Olympiad Open 2014 which is held in Tromsø, Norway. Carlsen played the closed system in response to Wojtaszek’s Sicilian defense. Wojtaszek sets up the Botvinnik structure/system against Carlsen, and the position remained clear of much imbalance until Carlsen’s 14th move. Once the central pawn structure transformed into a 2 to 1 majority in favor of Carlsen and he began pushing, the placement and relative value of Wojtaszek’s pieces were brought to question.
