Man vs. Machine 4-4 — GM Roman Dzindzichashvili

Roman talks about ‘computer chess’ and ‘computer engines’ (including his own victory over Rybka) before showing us a game from the Queen’s Gambit Declined involving the White g4 Pawn gambit with 7.g4. The game Roman using a computer versus another human and computer setup becomes very sharp and Roman teaches us that computers ‘do not give up a piece’ unless there is a very good reason. ‘Rybka’s search is better than Fritz’ claims Roman and he gives us many more snippets of modern computer wisdom with focus on evaluations and we see him amazed at Rybka’s all round chess ability.
