This is a game from round 3 of the Zurich Chess Challenge 2014 between Hikaru Nakamura and current world chess champion Magnus Carlsen. Both players revisit game 9 of the 2013 World Chess Championship match where Anand, as white, chose 4.f3 out of the Nimzo-Indian Defense. Play deviates from game 9 of that match however after Nakamura’s 5.a3, and an opposite sides castling battle ensues with the typical race to attack one another’s king. Will it be Nakamura or Carlsen who wins the race to attack the opposing king?
