Integral Solves Stockfish – Future King?

This is a surprising chess game between Integral (3576) and the long time king of chess Stockfish (3731) from the Premier Division of the Top Chess Engine Championship Season 28. The opening is a Trompowsky Attack with play beginning from the position after 8…h4. From this start position we have a significantly unbalanced structure and Stockfish holds the bishop pair. Integral’s plan to castle by hand and keep the king close to the kingside pawns paves the way for the white queen to dominate the center. If Stockfish attempts to neutralize the queen through an exchange, Integral’s king will quickly become an active force in the endgame. After 17 rounds of this event, Integral is tied with Stockfish at 11 points and is the only undefeated participant. Integral is a top chess engine developed in C++ and its neural network is trained on tens of millions of self play games.
