Not allowing Dutch Defense players to have their fun · Tomic – Pokrovac, Road to GM, Game 397

I play the Durtch myself, and this variation takes all the fun out of the opening for black.

The Raphael Variation is very fun and very hard for Dutch Defense players to face. It simply doesn’t allow the usual attacking play black is hoping for. It actually gives white a strong attack if black isn’t careful. I hate facing it with black, so why not play it against the Dutch!
