Featured is an instructive and somewhat mysterious game between Hans Niemann and Hikaru-bot. The exact date of the game is unclear. On Hans’ profile in the mobile app, it appears to have been played just before the July 11th, 2025 Freestyle Friday event. However, the PGN lists the game date as March 5th, 2024. Regardless of the timestamp, the game itself is real, and worth a look. It’s a short battle in the Alekhine Defense, wrapped up by a flashy tactical shot.
