This is an instructive chess game between Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Richard Rapport from Round 3 of the Uzchess Cup 2025, held on June 21st. In response to the Sicilian Defense, Classical Variation (5…Nc6), Abdusattorov opts for the sharp Sozin Attack with 6.Bc4. The game heats up quickly in the center, with Abdusattorov’s king heading there while the queens remain on the board. However, the tension is short-lived, as the queens are exchanged by move 20. What follows is a complex and instructive bishop vs knight phase, requiring both a grasp of key endgame principles and accurate calculation.
