This is a sharp chess game between Mikhail Tal and Michael Francis Stean from the 1975 Alekhine Memorial. Out of a Tarrasch Defense, by transposition, an important moment is reached after Stean’s 16th move. Is black’s isolated queen pawn that frequently surfaces out of the Tarrasch Defense poison? Tal, ever alert to tactical possibilities, shows us the answer in his trademark style.
