Featured is an excellent positional chess game between Roven Vogel and Jorden Van Foreest from Round 3 of the 2025 European Chess Championship, played on March 17th. Out of a Slav Defense, Quiet variation, Vogel obtains the bishop pair while Van Foreest’s rooks spring to life. Van Foreest’s rook activity along with a couple key pawn moves creates targets in Vogel’s camp that are quickly exploiting after just a little pressure is applied.
