Judit Polgar’s DOUBLE* Bishop Sacrifice in the Petrov’s

Featured is a sharp chess game between Judit Polgar and Anatoly Karpov from the 7th Essent in 2003. Out of a Petrov’s Defense, Polgar maneuvers her queen rook in an unusual way towards the kingside. The rook battery on the e-file carries great energy along with the two bishops that function well on adjacent diagonals. Shortly after Karpov captures a seemingly insignificant queenside pawn, Polgar unleashes the first of what could have been two fantastic bishop sacrifices, but Karpov resigns immediately.
