This game was a great example of Kasparov’s principle of different types of advantages in chess; material, quality, and time. I punished my opponent’s opening mistake and seized the initiative, gaining time, and converting that into a material advantage. I was a pawn up. My opponent had the bishop pair to compensate for that, in other words higher quality pieces. A lot to learn from this one!
