I got maaaaaad this game. My opponent wrote a salty comment in the chat which threw me off completely and I had to do my best to compose myself and keep playing. If he’d meant something else, I apologize, but during the game it felt really mean.
Emotions are a bad thing in chess. Any emotion really, but bad ones like anger, frustration, fear, or doubt can lead to a disaster. They keep you from playing well and making objective decisions. In my case, they influence my play a lot, which is why this game is great for my training. I think I didn’t lose the grip completely even though I wanted to stop playing once I got mad.
