I lost a game because I lacked theoretical knowledge. That sort of mistake should never happen to me again! I was completely unprepared for a variation I could’ve encountered numerous times before. A defeat just waiting to hit me.

I played a 200 points higher rated opponent and he had little trouble punishing my ignorance and converting into an easy win.

I am going to study the variation heavily and make sure this sort of defeat never happens again.
