In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov shares with you a tricky line (hidden secret) that you can use against Black in the Ruy Lopez chess opening (also known as Spanish Game or Spanish Opening), which is one of the most popular and traditional chess openings.

Most chess players are unfamiliar with this line, which is to play 5.Qe2 instead of the traditional 5.0-0. It is known as the Wormald Attack with lots of interesting tricks and traps along the way. And because most of your opponents won’t be aware of this hidden line, you are going to get them out of their opening preparation.

GM Igor Smirnov also shows you the statistics of database games to prove you that a majority of chess players play these moves and fall for the trap, which gives you a 77% win rate!
