In this video I show you an opening trap where you give up your queen to achieve checkmate in only 8 moves! This is known as Legal’s mate and is sure to surprise your opponents. After all, who wouldn’t want to take a “free” queen? This trap occurs in the Italian game, the Philidor defense and is quite common among lower rated players. I hope you enjoy it!
