Attacking a Grandmaster feels like you have Superpowers · Road to GM, Game 205
This you wouldn’t believe if someone told you. You have to see it for yourself it sounds so unreal.
I played GM Ognjen Jovanic. An opponent rated over 2500 is what I dream about, and I wish I could always play them. It makes me nervous too. It makes me rash, makes it harder for me to concentrate and think properly. I basically cannot play as efficiently as I would when I’m not too stressed and afraid. That is somathing I’ll have to be working on. And this game proves it.
I lost a piece on move 9. Just blundered a bishop. It wasn’t hard to see it either. But I fought on and attacked. I never attacked a Grandmaster before. It felt like I had superpowers. And I actually succeeded in complicating the position enought to get all my material back!
