In this video lesson,. the RCA guest coach GM Marian Petrov analyzes a fantastic chess game played between Ding Liren and Ian Nepomniachtchi at the 14th round of the FIDE Candidates 2021.

Although Nepomniachtchi had already won the tournament, winning his spot to face Magnus Carlsen for the World Chess Championship, he had to put a tough fight against Ding Liren, only to end up losing the battle.

It was a sharp game with plenty of critical combinations. In the post-game press conference, Nepo explained that sometimes having too much knowledge can play against you. Watch the instructive analysis of this game.
