Chess For A Cause is Chess.com’s new initiative to use our platform in the chess world to support real-world change. In our first event, we are thrilled to partner with the non-profit Chess in Slums Africa and its founder, Tunde Onakoya, to raise money for education and scholarships in 2024. The mission of Chess in Slums Africa is to use the game of chess to empower children from impoverished backgrounds, and together we aim to raise $50,000 and get the campaign off to a good start.
