Featured is a sharp blitz chess game between Ding Liren and Hans Niemann from the 2025 Speed Chess Championship. Out of a Closed Ruy Lopez, Ding sidesteps 8.c3 to avoid the Marshall Attack, opting instead for the quieter 8.h3. After 15.Qf3, we reach a key middlegame moment where Ding’s e4-pawn becomes the central focus. When Niemann fails to find the best continuation, Ding maintains a firm grip on the center, paving the way for dynamic kingside play. Niemann’s 22nd move proves to be a blunder, and he’s unable to recover, resigning after just 32 moves. Ding Liren’s play in this 3+1 time control registered an impressive 98% accuracy.
