Featured is an interesting chess game between Chess AI LeelaRookOdds and Grandmaster Former_Player on lichess. Leela plays without a queen rook and counters the Grandmaster’s early plan to exchange light-squared bishops by staying flexible with the d-pawn. Instead of the typical post on d4, it goes to d3, keeping the light-squared bishops on the board. After 21. Qf4, all of Leela’s pieces are ideally placed on the kingside, leaving the Grandmaster in an uncomfortable situation. The reply …Rg8 quickly backfires, allowing Leela to anchor a monster knight on f6 that creates endless practical problems for Black. After 32…Rg6, Leela maintains a decisive advantage and converts with ease, forcing resignation after 43 moves.
