Featured is a chess miniature between Baadur Jobava and Le Quang Liem from Round 2 of the 2025 FIDE World Cup. Out of the Scotch Game, Le opts for 4…Qf6, targeting Jobava’s central knight early. Jobava chooses to move his knight to f5 instead of b5, where it would pressure c7, and it ends up making his position harder to handle. He ends up spending about 52 minutes on his 9th move, a clear sign of discomfort. Jobava’s idea with his 13th move turns out to be a blunder, and it’s swiftly punished by Le Quang Liem, who forces resignation after only 22 moves. Le’s accuracy in this game registered 99%.
