Featured is a rapid chess game between LeelaKnightOdds and Grandmaster “Former_Player” on lichess. Leela plays the Bird’s Opening without a queen knight. The setup, sure to appeal to system players, aim to advance e4 and then e5. The Grandmaster plants a knight on e4, but Leela skillfully plays around it as if the piece does not even exist. After the queens are exchanged, the position simplifies, and within just five more moves the Grandmaster resigns this 25-move encounter.
