Leela Chess Zero is UNSPORTSMANLIKE

This is an excellent chess game between Leela Chess Zero (3692) and Ethereal (3618) from the Premier Division of the Top Chess Engine Championship Season 28. The game begins with a Symmetrical English where Leela quickly prepares to establish the d pawn on the central d5 square. What follows is a fantastic setup that neutralizes Ethereal’s main pawn break with f5. This is a highly strategic battle filled with maneuvering due to the closed nature of the position. In fact, the first capture of the game does not occur until move 29. Watch how Leela brilliantly outmaneuvers Ethereal in an opposite colored bishop scenario using not one but two positional pawn sacrifices.
