The King’s Indian is becoming my favorite opening to face. I play the Semi-Averbakh against it and always get rich, tactical positions in which I’m usually the one with the initiative.
I faced a 2000 rated opponent in round 3 of the Zagreb Cup and I really wanted to do well since I’d messed up in the first two rounds and only earned half a point for my team. After my opponent played a strange, passive variation against my Semi-Averbakh, I got a very promising attacking position. The rest you will see in the video!
